Cell membrane cloaking technology is attracting attention in a wide range of research fields owing to its inherent advantages, including prolonged circulation and immune activation. While current cell membrane-coated nanoparticles can only be administered via injection, the repetitive nature of such procedures may induce stress in patients due to discomfort or localized reactions at the injection site. Therefore, we explored the potential of utilizing biocompatible ointments for the effective transdermal delivery of cell membrane-cloaked nanoparticles. Given that ointments offer a less intrusive alternative to frequent injections, we expect them to present considerable promise as a viable delivery modality for cell membrane cloaking in future applications. |
